Not Good News
I regret to have to write this post.
Approximately 50% of my students didn't bother to do their projects or did them poorly and with no effort. I assigned my classes their projects weeks ago and gave them instruction sheets that day. I reminded them every two or three days. I dedicated Friday, Nov. 25th's entire class to reviewing and explaining again. I even gave them two extra days to finish it since I was out for the final four days with a bad back.
Projects are worth 35% of this semester. So a student who is averaging in the 80s on tests will fail on the January report card because they didn't do the projects.
They were told to do them over before I give any more of my time to mark them. They have until Wednesday to hand them in or they will receive zero.
