Speeches, speeches, speeches

We are almost done practicing for our speeches. Starting Wednesday, January 31st, the students started preparing for public speaking. They practiced with impromtu speeches of 30 seconds. Then they moved on to writing longer speeches, following an organized format, on topics of their choice. We watched a video of the 2001 NB Speech competition for inspiration. Now the clock is ticking.
Speeches begin tomorrow, Tuesday, February 13, for periods 2 and 3, and Wednesday for period 1.
