Formal Paper

All grade ten English students are required to produce a formal research paper before the end of the year. I will be walking my students through theirs starting Wednesday, May 24th. It is due June 7th, two weeks later. I am attaching the specs here, though the word count is different for some classes so refer to the handout I gave in class. Also the topics will be weeded according to what is available from our library, as WE ARE ONLY USING BOOKS FOR THE RESEARCH. Mrs. Law is busy pulling all the books for us.

You are to produce a 800-1000 word original research paper on one of the following topics. You must inform me of the topic chosen and you may not change topics. You must print out and highlight any information you use and attach to your final good copy. You must proofread, spellcheck, and use all the rules for writing from The Write Stuff. Plagiarism will result in a mark of zero and a permanent letter in your CUM file.
